"As a parent of three teens, I am keenly aware that I can only 'set the table' with opportunity for involvement in the Jewish community. Ultimately, the kids, themselves, will make their own choices. BBYO has become the happiest and most comprehensive choice for my son—a place where he has friends, explores his connection to the Jewish community on his terms and develops great leadership skills."
– Amy Bauman, AZA Member Parent, BBYO Westchester Region
As a teen-led organization, AZA and BBG members set the agenda
and ensure that we are offering the most relevant programming possible.
BBYO programming exposes teens to a variety of Jewish beliefs and practices, encourages them to ask questions and ultimately leads most to a greater sense of pride for their Jewish heritage.
In BBYO, teens can simply be themselves. In doing so, they are welcomed into a worldwide movement of young people and alumni who feel a common connection to each other and the Jewish people.
"BBYO builds leadership skills, inspires passion for social justice, and promotes creativity and curiosity. Selective universities seek to develop diverse student leadership communities, and a BBYO background is great training to thrive in campus life."
